Project Life: Positeen is offering computer literacy classes at two tutorial centers in the area.

On Nov. 12, the organization opened tutorial centers for students in grades 3-5 at Bethune-Bowman Elementary School and at Rivelon Elementary School for students in grades 1-3. The purpose of the computer literacy classes is to expand the knowledge and ability for low-income persons as society becomes every more dependent on computers.

Project Life: Positeen also received a $3,000 grant from United Way of the Midlands to provide beginners’ computer classes for low-income parents ages 21 to 40.

For more information about the classes, stop by the Project Life: Positeen office at 349 Summers Avenue, Orangeburg, SC 29115; call 803-534-4263 or e-mail [email protected]
